Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) is a government initiative launched by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, aimed at providing safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all rural households. The mission focuses on creating a Jan Andolan (people’s movement) to ensure water supply sustainability through the involvement of local communities.
